Feel Good Inc.

Being my own boss I decided a long time ago that Friday's would be typically lazy. Granted Monday - Thursday has been the same way this week but Friday's are made to be lazy. No one likes working hard on the last day of the week - especially me - so today's gonna be great.

After a wild graduation party last night today's events look like this: Take pictures of this really beautiful girl (if she calls), go to some rehersal dinner and grab some "African American" grub as it was described to me and then attend a concert of some band I've never heard of before. (with a different beautiful girl, i might add)

So yeah...Friday's rock.

Sometimes I just don't feel like taking pictures. Like I'm all pictured out. No creative juices are flowing through these veins right now.

I don't know how many people read this so it's not a big deal but Jess and I are no longer together as of a couple days ago. Perhaps that's why I'm not feelin' too photo-ey...I'm not really feeling anything at the moment. But what was done had to be done and almost needed to be done to set, at least, me back on the right track. Everything's cool...don't worry about me.

So I decided I needed a dog. Ya know, Elle (Jess' dog) won't be around here anymore so I need someone to keep my company. A couple friends and I went dog searching at the pound today but with no luck. One day.

And the anticipation to move to Los Angeles continues to grow daily. As much as I love Oklahoma (and I do...really, this place is so uniquely pitiful it's amusing) I'm ready to go. I visited Brooks in Santa Barbra but ... no thanks. Nothing against the school (even though they dissed every other universtiy in the country, i'm not into that) it's just not for me. School is not for me right now. And it gives my brother hemroids I know but I just can't do it. So I'll trek out to the big city at the beginning of August to live with Michael and see what happens from there.

Alright - blogging sucks.

Crazy Busy Days

Contrair to popular opinion from friends and family I've actually been really busy this week. Granted I haven't woke up any day before 10:00 am but that's early for me! After I got back from Florida the tasks were adding up so I've been working my little tush off but don't worry - I'm still having fun.

If you haven't checked out Paul's website you should. You can check out Coffeesquares or his new professional site Paul Wilkes Photography.com. Last night Paul and I met up at Waffle House for our usual random get together and lemme tell ya...this kid's on fire. In photography you find people that you feed off and Paul is one of these people for me. When I met him back in college he just "took pictures." He would tell you that I was better than him then but I'll tell you now that he's better than me. And it's cool. His photography has surpassed mine ... but only for a little while because that's how we work. I'll have a better month then him, he'll see that and then kick his photography up a gear surpassing me the next month. And then I'll see what's happening and work even harder to be better than him the next month. It's a friendly "competition" that helps us both out.

Tomorrow I leave to Cali to visit Brooks and I'm excited. As of now Brooks is up in the air. This visit will determine whether or not I got back to school. We'll see. Thanks to Blake-o for the plane ticket out there. What a good brother. =)

If you haven't checked out the galleries you should cuz there's tons of new Engagement shots and weddings.

Alright - that's it for now. Back to work.

Peace,

back to the blogging world

Due to recent requests I've decided to bring back the blog. I think life has taken a turn for the better in the past couple months so my posts won't be depressing and I won't soak my keyboard in tears everytime I write.

For now, just for updating purposes; I currently am not enrolled in school but am working as a free lance, self promoted starving photographer in Oklahoma City, OK. I just recently took the photographs at my father's wedding, went to Florida to hang with Lucas and Michael at Disney World for a couple days and next week I'll be in California for to visit Brooks Institute of Photography and to scope the area out before I move there in August.

I'm still with Jessica and it's been ... a long time. But things are great between us. =)

That's about it...and we'll see how long this blog thing lasts.
