If my laundry gets done in time I might go downtown and try to get my driver's liscense again today. But probably not. Those crazy ladies down at the DMV scare me.
But I'll probably just paint. You don't have to drive anywhere to paint. There's a few big reasons why I like painting. First of all, you can't do anything wrong. On a canvas there's no such thing as a mistake. Sure, if you paint a huge black streak across your almost finished color peice and it's going to look weird...but YOU put that black streak there. Second - you can't do anything wrong. On canvas or off. If you're staring at a peice, zoning out to loud music and just painting you're not gonna hurt anyone. You're not gonna waste any money, cause anyone grief or do anything you'll regret the next day. It's great! The third reason I love painting is the creative process itself. My first paintings are a joke. Now I'm seeing the progress and skill rise and it's exciting. (it's like in the Sims when your Skill Level's rise) Yeah, it's me that's getting better but it's only cuz I've put time into it.
There's more reasons but 3 just seems like a good number.

8:59 on Thursday
There comes a point in every man's life where he must write a blog that starts with: "there comes a point in every man's life". And today, at 8 - er, 9:00 pm on this wonderful Thursday evening I guess my time has come.
With small bank accounts, large debt, and a bigger move coming up, tonight is the kind of night I wish I would win the lottery. Of course, this is an every day wish but tonight it's just pokin' me in the face. I've always tried to keep a smile no matter how much or how little of the green pieces of paper I have but it's getting harder.
I want to be a good person. I think calling/seeing your friends or keeping your word to them is more important than working your ass off 40 hours a week to sit alone in a big empty house. But tonight I didn't keep my word, I haven't seen my friends and I've only worked 5.698 hours this week and I'm still sitting alone in my small apartment. What's wrong here? This whole "being a better person" thing is hard. But like I said, in the end, worth more than any money in the world.
By the way, only live in Raindance Apartments at 122nd and Penn in Oklahoma City if you enjoy rap music blaring from our African brothers in shitty cars during all hours of the night.
The other day someone compared the TV show Arrested Development to Sienfield. I downloaded AR just to test this theory, being a Sienfield fan myself, and I think they were smokin' crack. No comparison. I laughed a total of twice in 3 episodes of AR and think I'm going to delete it. Better than Sienfield? This person should be shot.
Alright...that's all.
Peace,

(oh yeah, and I hate how Blogger makes you put in a Word Verification before you can publish a blog. Before we know it we'll have to give a word verification, social security number, mother's maiden name and first pet's origin of birth to post a blog. What is this world coming to. Tonight's Word Verification is: nmbgyrq . Thanks Blogger.)
((oh yeah again, I think it's funny that Blogger's Spell Check finds the word "blog" and "blogger" to be mis-spelled words))
(((I really don't hate Blogger. I think it's great)))
I feel like I should sign off again,
Peace,

morning ramblings
You know that you like something enough when it actually does get you out of bed in the morning. For example, the past couple mornings that I've had off and while my friends are either still sleeping or working I've done nothing but photography. I turn on some music, edit the pictures from the day before, and then write blogs or upload the edited pictures. It's not a bad life.
Happy Birthday, yesterday, Todd. The big 29. I don't even know what to say about that number. At least you're not 30? =)
So much has happened even since Bonnaroo that it seems like a distant memory. It was probably one of the coolest experiences in my life though. Just the music, the friends, the atmosphere, the chicks, the everything. It was awesome.
I guess life is just really good right now. And that's the first time I can remember saying that and having proof to back it up. Life's ... perhaps, is getting back on track from the hell hole called last summer. Photography is great, my friends kick ass, being single has plenty of "pros", money's not an issue, California's coming up, my stomache gets fed regularly ... I can't complain about hardly anything these days. It's nice.
Just let me soak in this happiness for a while before it gets all messed up again.
(or can i control my perspective to where it will never get messed up again?)
Peace,
(listen to dave, it'll change your life.)(or at least put you in a better mood)

Mr. Noah Grey
I consider myself lucky as being one HUGE fan who actually got to meet the Noah Grey. Now this picture was taken on 10.17.2004, almost 2 years ago, but this guy is still kickin' butt at photography. Noah has been and probably always will be my biggest inpsiration for picking up my camera and capturing what he calls "the more hidden, non-obvious beauty" of the world.
Check out his most recent interview at Photographica, and then click over to his website. Now...don't get lost as it's easy to do and remember to come back here sometimes. =)
Peace,
-marc
